PROGRAM DIRECTOR/HEAD COACH
NICOLE SORRENTINO is a Level 4 + accredited and has been coaching cheerleading and gymnastics for over 17 years. Nicole was a competitive cheerleader in South Africa for 5 years, competing as a state team member in a coed team. She has successfully Coached our Black Diamonds team to become State Champions 2 years in a row and as well as earn several Bids to both Nationals and International Competitions and in 2020 she coached the team to win 1st place and be National Champions. She has a great passion for the sport and loves seeing the confidence and personal progression cheerleading brings to all the team members. Nicole will be coaching our Senior and Junior teams this year.
COACH
Amalie Connor: Had been Cheerleading for 11+ years and was part of our highly successful Nationals champions Black Diamonds team before she retired in 2022. Amalie spent last year assisting Nicole with our Senior and Junior teams and will continue this for 2025. She is excited to see our athletes’ progress this year.
JUNIOR COACHES
Aleesha Targett: This will be Aleesha’s third year, having been an assistant coach for the past 2 years. This year she will be completing her level 1 coaching accreditation to become a junior coach. Aleesha spent a weekend over the holidays going to Melbourne to do a training course with one of highly sought our spring coaches conference. She learnt a lot of new coaching techniques that she will impart to your coaching team. We are very luck to have this knowledge to bring to you all.
Junior Assistant coaches
Matilda Drumm: This is Matilda’s first year as a juniorr assistant coach doing her introduction to coaching this year. She has been cheerleading for 11 years and is part of our successful senior Nationals team. She is looking forward to her role as and assistant coach this year.
Ella Broadby: This is Ellas’s first year as a junior assistant coach completing her introduction to coaching course. She has been cheerleading for 11 years and is passionate about cheerleading. She is a member of our successful senior National team.
Maddi Trethowan: This is Maddi’s first year as a junior assistant coach also doing her introduction to coaching course. Maddi has been cheerleading for 7 years having done dance prior. She is part of our Successful senior national team. Maddi is excited to be an assistant coach this year.
